Unlike many other consulting firms in the Northwest Territories (NWT), Arctic Advising and Consulting (AAC) is homegrown. Our firm is proudly owned and operated by lifelong northerner, Hunaifa Malik.

In addition to her lived and professional experience in the territory, Hunaifa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from McGill University and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Carleton University, specializing in Indigenous Policy and Administration. Currently, Hunaifa is advancing her research with a PhD at McGill, focusing on evidence-based policymaking in data-scarce regions like the NWT.
